Salam alaykoume,
As a clarification to what “Other” means for the sect selection on my profile, I follow the Quran and the teachings (Sunna) of Prophet Muhammed ﷺ and I do not belong to any sect. Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) says in Surah Al-An'am [6:159]: " Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects - you, [O Muhammad], are not [associated] with them in anything. Their affair is only [left] to Allah ; then He will inform them about what they used to do."
In addition to the Quran and Hadeeths telling us not to get divided, neither of the Prophet’s ﷺ family members nor his companions (peace be upon his family and companions) were Sunni or Shia or whatever sect you might think of. They were the best followers of Prophet Muhammed ﷺ and yet they were simply called “Muslims” and that’s exactly what I am, just a “Muslim”.
I'm looking for a family oriented, well mannered and a practicing muslima.
