I am a person that works hard to make my family happy, and spiritually grow. It’s hard to work and be a mother without a life partner. I find having a balance - the woman point of view and the man’s point of view is crucial to a good life.
I am honest, by the mercy of Allah. I have done amazing things and things I am not proud of but I am always a Muslim asking Allah alone for forgiveness, protection and the right course.
Creative work and research are my strong suits. I secretly want to just be a mom that takes care of kids and a spouse and change the world through my writing and film. I have a film degree. I went to a mediocre college but my film experience was a very good one. I remember ordering African films from all over the nation through the library system.
I know marriage is not easy. My ex husband and I met abroad and due to vast cultural differences and personality flaws of his I had to divorce him and ask Allah for what was better. I want someone intelligent, a healthy person in all aspects, hard working, a person that fears no one or anything but Allah.
The Quran has to be your authority. I think at this age I find it necessary to find the truest love I can and be wonderful together.
I asked my friend to describe me - a fellow human rights activist in the making but he went too far but I will share “here we go!”
I am according to him: patient, faithful, pious, family first, passionate, super intelligent, intuitive, beautiful, compassionate, complex but down to earth.
With that said if you dream of someone who fills the home with laughter and the aroma of omelettes and raspberry mint tea, and tries her hand at pickling - I may be the one. I really want a good husband to start a good life with together. It’s as Allah wills.
