The purpose of this life is to reach the next life; we place ourselves into trouble when we put dunya over deen. To that end, I hope to meet a pious and observant woman, who wants to live a life according to the Quran and Sunnah for the completion of our deen. It is important, in my view, to hold to our traditional practice of our religion, and in marriage, adhere to the traditional responsibilities of spouses in Islam.
I fit best with peaceful, calm souls who also want a relationship based on the clear guidance of Islam regarding the rights, responsibilities, and duties of husband and wife. If you view traditional Islamic modesty as "flexible", think the hijab is optional, or you're not overly concerned if you miss a prayer, we're probably not a good match, and I wish you the best.
Professionally, I've just wrapped up several decades of consulting in the software business; that's allowed me to travel to more than sixty countries (probably more, one loses count) in my career; I've also lived outside the US in various job roles (primarily India, but also shorter times in China and Malaysia), so I qualify as an experienced traveler.
. Alhamdulilah, this has left me financially not rich but comfortable and quite secure. Since retiring from technology, I've been teaching Biology and Physics in high school to keep busy. After I complete this year of teaching, I hope to move to an Islamic country inshallah (undecided as to which; Dubai certainly looks attractive these days, but I am open to any possibility) and live a life closer to Islam than is possible in the USA.
