I studied filmmaking, then Allah put me on a different path. Gained some Islamic knowledge formally for ~3 years. Tried job for ~8 months then realized I am better off doing my own stuff.

I try to be a person who can listen to conflicting ideas to my own, to listen sincerely and intently putting my biases and prejudices aside so that I may me corrected or at least I get a new perspective.

I like reading books; non-fiction primarily (in fact, I've hardly read 3 fictions till date, I guess). Philosophy, history, Islamic theology, politics, IR, psychology, parenting, are some of my interests (I have wide range of interests). That does not mean that I am well-versed in any of these topics. I'm just a student.

I am not at all a fan of capitalism. I can discuss (if interested) in length why it's bad for individuals and for society in general. Therefore I am not at all 'career-oriented', and believe that necessities of life should be dealt as necessities only and not as end goal/aim of life/purpose of living. If you want to paint a painting then arranging paints, brushes and canvas are necessary, but you don't go about making arrangement of these things so crucial that 70-80% of your waking life is spent on that. You do just as much to meet the necessity (albeit, you do it with excellence) then move to what really matters (family, kids, betterment of self, serving Allah etc).

I try to eat healthy (e.g. only Desi ghee or Olive oil is used for cooking, even for frying! Only whole wheat used at home with occasional use of all-purpose flour for baking etc) but I do fall every now and then. I've been using siwak for my teeth for last 7-8 years. Similarly I use alternative methods for body cleansing and hear cleansing too and don't use soaps and shampoos, but I'm no one to force that on anyone, I feel I'm comfortable with that so I do it. I try to be regular in my exercises and keep in shape.

Lastly, I am married with three kids. That was a shocker, right? Well, my reason is Allah and He is enough for me as a Judge. Although, I would happily welcome discussion on it.

P.S. I will not be relocating from Pakistan, probably ever. Something to consider.

Best of luck.
