I would describe myself as a slim athletic build. I look after myself and enjoy working out regularly. I haven’t been married before. I’ve lived by myself in Cambridgeshire for the past 6 years to be close to my job which is pretty established as a mobile application developer. I work for a relatively small company in the health and safety sector. My parents live in London where I grew up. I typically visit them at least once a week. I’m of Pakistani ethnicity and can just about speak and read Urdu.
I would also say cooking is an interest of mine. During lockdown I started cooking all my mother’s Pakistani dishes and have become quite proficient at it. Before that I used to bake quite well.
I would also describe myself as a movie buff. It’s one of the ways that I unwind in my free time.
Islam is my first priority and is the basis of my life. I pray 5 times a day, pay zakat, fast in Ramadan and I’ve been Hajj twice before, accompanying my parents. I listen to Islamic talks while driving or going on walks. There isn’t a mosque close to where I live, but when I’m back in London I tend to go to the mosque for most of my prayers. I try to read the Quran daily as a regular habit. I follow the Sunnah as much as I can and as such have a full Muslim beard.
I’m looking for someone who prioritises Islam the same way I do, adheres to the sunnah and is a practising Muslim. Someone who looks them after themselves and is also into fitness would be nice as a common interest but not essential.
Attraction is important initially and looks do have their place, but I value good character and intelligence more than looks. Beauty fades and everyone grows old, but it’s those good qualities of a person that last a life time and contribute to a happy marriage insh'Allah.
