I am a german citizen and revert of many years who us looking for a pious, loving and caring wife to grow in deen commonly. Within the rules of quran and sunnah i will enable her a midern but modest life and treat her as a lady and respect her.
Some of our scholars have stated that all of a woman’s [body] is her ʿawra as it has been narrated in a ḥadīth from the Prophet (pbuh)narrated by Tirmidhī that “all of a woman’s [body] is her ʿawra”, and Tirmidhī states that the ḥadīth is authentic (ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ) but she was given a dispensation that allowed her to expose her face and hands as covering them would cause great difficulty (mashaqqa); and looking at her face is permitted when asking for her hand in marriage, because it is the centre of beauty. This is the view of Ḥārith b. Hishām who states that, “All of a woman’s body is her ʿawra, even her nails.” Also from Imaam Qurtubi (Rahimahullah)
in his Al-Jamia li Ahkaamul Qur'ân states: "All women are in effect covered by the terms of the verse which embraces the Sharée principle that the whole of a woman is ‘Áwrah’ (to be concealed) – her face, body and voice, as mentioned previously. It is not permissible to expose those parts except in the case of need, such as the giving of evidence…" ("Al-Jamia li Ahkaamul Qur'ân")
Allah Ta’ala says: “O wives of the Prophet, you are not like anyone among women. If you fear Allah, then do not be soft in speech [to men] lest he in whose heart is disease should covet, but speak with appropriate speech.” (33:32)
It is clear from the above, that the voice of a woman has the potential to arouse the feelings of a man. The voice of a woman should be kept as Awrah if there is no need. However, the voice of a woman will be exempt from being an Awrah due to need and necessity and if it does not lead to Fitnah.
Undoubtfully we live in times of fitnah. I therefore would be proud if my future wife decides to cover fully when leaving home or in presence of non mahram and i would support and guide her on this path
