I am a "revert" to Al Islam from the time of 2010, as I had concluded that of all the religious faiths experienced in my lifetime were dubious, contrived, or inventions rather than "direct revelations". No doubt, reaching this conclusion so late in my life posed numerous challenges and "tests" according to the Will of Allah (SWT). So, the chief of them having never been married or raised children I found myself out of :"synch" with most of the Ummah in my age category which only complicated the situation.
I am looking for a "companion" at this late stage of my life that can be encouraging, non-judgmental and supportive of my ongoing journey in Al Islam. I am NOT looking for cultural appendages that tend to frame Al Islam in tradition, rituals or conditions even if they seemingly a bolstered by the "scholars". I seeking an open-minded compassionate person who looks beyond the opinions, dictates or complications of other imperfect human beings.
On the lighter side, I am a "fun-loving" easy going person that loves the outdoors, traveling, reading and having interesting discussions. If you are a divorcee, widow, have children or even grandchildren I'd still be interested in exploring possibilities.
