Alhamdulillah, I am a practicing 'Haji' Muslim; young and romantic at heart. I have a very simple, caring and homely lifestyle. I feel very lonely and wish to share rest of my life with a loving wife. I do not smoke, partake all kinds of HALAL food and love cooking. I enjoy classical and light jazz music, playing table tennis, badminton, chess and other board games. Sadly, now I have given up active cricket, hockey and golf, but enjoy watching sport. I am an avid reader and enjoy writing short stories and Urdu poetry, improving my Turkish, and learning Arabic, and Farsi languages. I try to keep fit and follow very active routine and a healthy diet. My moto in life is to 'Expect everything but insist on nothing'. I think that I have a very relaxed, understanding and a tolerant nature. I firmly believe in values of Islam but find any form of extremism an anathema. My guiding light is Qur'an [as in al'Baqara 2:177], and love of 'Sunnah'. Perhaps belatedly, but nevertheless, I have come to understand that in matters of personal outlook, taste, fashion and culture; each person is an individual and, as such, capable of leading a fulfilling life even as they wish. I try to adopt an attitude of 'live & let live'. I am fairly computer literate, hold a British car licence and drive. I like Turkey and travel there several times each year. I have compiled a unique 'Urdu-English-Turkish' pocket dictionary, and would like to publish it. It is competent to state that I have two grown and married children who, Alhamdulillah, lead a completely independent life. They do not visit me but I visit them very occasionally. Finally, please let me add that I have a good sense of humour. Apart from news, sport and current affairs, and documentaries, I hardly ever watch any TV.
