Its a Sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh) which is forgotten and I believe it should be revived for the right reasons, as it will eventually lead to a decrease of various wrong things and evils currently taking place in our societies. It helps to restore the honour, dignity and pride of a women and strengthens the family system, which is so important in Islam!
