All praises to Allah Subhaanahu-wa-ta'aala and peace and blessings to the Final Prophet Muhammad.
My name is Abdullah Al Farook. I am from Northern Virginia, USA and I have grown up here most of my life. My family is originally from Bangladesh and we are all USA citizens. We are two brothers and two sisters. Our father is retired and my mother has left this earth. My brother is a electrical engineer, married with three boys. My oldest sister works in a clinic, married with two girls and one boy and my older-younger sister is a virologist, married with one boy. I am the only one left who is single. Our family has a very strong bond amongst each other. I especially have a strong bond with my dad since my mother passed away more than seven years ago. Keeping strong family ties is very important nowadays. We have to understand how important it is to keep ties with your kin.
Al-HamdulIllah, I have finished high school and attended University in Northern Virginia. While attending school and university I used to go to many Islamic programs which really inspired me to seek Islamic sacred knowledge. I set out on my journey in seeking Islamic knowledge around the world. I have traveled in the USA and abroad studying for about 12 years at different Islamic Institutions in South Africa, Bangladesh and USA. I have obtained sanad and Ijaaza from many eminent Islamic Scholars (Mashaaikh) from around the world. I am also literate in four languages, which are English, Urdu, Bengali and Arabic.
Al-HamdulIllah, I am a qualified Islamic scholar (Sheikh, Alim or Maulana). I teach the Holy Qur'aan and Islamic etiquettes to all ages, I also conduct Islamic programs and khutbahs at various Masaajid in USA and around the world. I have completed my Hajj and multiple times Umrah. I am very much affiliated with the da'wah wa tabligh effort, which has prevailed all around the world. I have gone on many missionary work around the world such as South Africa, Bangladesh, India, Saudi Arabia and all over North America, where we try to revive Islam in our lives and the lives of other muslims.
Al-HamdulIllah, people know me as a very charismatic, humble, kind and empathetic human being. I am not a strict person at all in fact I am very lenient. I am not a play boy or a womanizer. I was raised by my mother and two older sisters who taught me to respect women. I have a pretty moderate lifestyle. not too conservative and not too liberal. Of course I feel there is always room for improvement in my lifestyle and life in general whether it be spiritually, emotionally, physically and etc., which I am constantly working on.
Being a Islamic Scholar, Allah is always testing us and Shaitaan is always after us. Our lives are very different from the general public. Not everyone will understand us and what we go through in our lives. I know how the general public are because I was a student doing general studies in the USA and I know how the religious public are because I am included amongst them also. this is where me being empathetic comes along. I am not rich, if I wanted material wealth I would of pursued a University degree just like my older siblings. Instead, I know that deen was more important to me and I had to make sacrifices. That's why I sacrificed my material wealth for my Islamic wealth. Until this day I have not seen in my whole life one Islamic Scholar and his family ever go hungry or he and his family not a have a roof over their head. I am a very simple man, I am not a extravagant person. Whatever Allah gives me, suffices more than enough.
Al-HamdulIllah, I try to frequent the Masjid as much as possible and keep my self busy. I do spend a lot of time with my family because all of them live very close by. Also in my spare time I am reading or outside in the yard gardening. I like working outside in my yard, something my mother taught me which reminds me of her very much. Gardening is something everyone usually does here in the south of USA. I am currently conducting programs at Masaajids and teaching Qur'aan and Islamic etiquettes to different ages with hopes and plans of starting my own small institution, Insha-Allah.
There is a lot more about me. This is just a very brief summary. You can only express so much in typing. Please feel free to contact me at your most convenient time and thank you for reading my profile.
