Assalaamualaikum. Perhaps the most difficult thing to do is to describe yourself? May I start by stating that I consider myself an Ummati - a person committed to following the Quraan and Sunnah to the best of my ability. I consider a pious wife the best gift that Allah swt would bestow on his servants. I am 1.75m in height, 65kg by mass and I may e mail you my photo.
60 year old, Doctor by profession. Married with children. Alhamdulillah, my children are the coolness of my eye so far.
I can describe myself as someone who loves simplicity. I enjoy the outdoors, marvelling at the Creation of Allah SWT. A walk on the beach or in the Park, a hike up a mountain, a mountain stream, a drive through the country side brings me peace and contentment. I do not care much about material possessions(they seem to follow me though) and I spend what needs to be spent without wasting.
Looking for a second wife – why? I can find scores of reasons why I should, beginning with Quranic injunction, but I can only find one reason not to – It is a norm in South African Muslim society for a man to take one wife only. Usually those who have a second wife are those who have had a work relationship prior to marriage. I on the other hand wish to take a second wife according to the Sharia, without any extra marital relationship.
I believe I have been blessed with the resources to support a second family and that I would be selfish if I were to follow the norm of South African Muslims.
What I am looking for is someone that I can connect with, someone to be my confidant, my soul mate. Someone I can spend time with outdoors and indoors. Someone who is not inhibited. I consider myself to be loving and caring. Someone from the Middle East would be someone I could learn Arabic from, someone who understands that a second wife is an honour.
My hobbies? DIY, I am a jack of all trades. I can take up about any project. What I dislike is Grease.
